Coleman Barney, President and CEO

Coleman has extensive experience in growing and managing enterprise software companies. He was President and CEO of Optura, a specialist in business process improvement software solutions that was sold to OpenText Corp in 2005. Prior to that Coleman was co-founder of SBI Group which had expertise in enterprise software deployment, grew to over 900 employees and was sold to aQuantive/AvenueA. At Novell, he ran worldwide marketing strategy for the $850 million NetWare product line. At Microsoft he worked to bring Microsoft Office and other applications to market.

William Donahoo, VP Product Management and Marketing

William has more than 20 years experience in marketing, product management, and channel development. At BMC, he was Worldwide Director of Channel Development and Marketing, and before that he was Vice President of Business Development for the Enterprise Data Management business where he developed strategic alliances with Oracle, IBM, Sybase and others. At CyberSource, an e-commerce pioneer funded by Paul Allen and Vulcan Ventures, William was Vice President of Marketing. He began his career at Novell and was a founder of Novonyx, a joint venture between Novell and Netscape.

Bill Gibbons, Director of Finance
Bill is responsible for finance and operations at Cogito. He has extensive experience with private placements as well as mergers and acquisitions from both the buyer and seller perspectives. Prior to Cogito, he was President of WLG Associates, Inc., a finance consultancy and was CFO for Folio, Knowlix, and Frontline Educational Products. He also served as Director of Field Studies for the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University and as a budget officer and legislative aide for Senator Orrin G. Hatch in the United States Senate. Bill graduated from Brigham Young University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Tim Jarvis, Chief Software Architect

Tim specializes in integrating, scaling and exposing enterprise systems through Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), having more than two decades of experience. As Senior Vice President of Development for Optura, he architected SOA-based composite applications for SAP. He co-founded Systematic Systems Integration (later renamed Spectria), and developed integrated systems for Merisel, Microsoft, Compaq, Mattel, Burton Snowboards and others. Tim has overseen a wide range of projects involving massive data sets in web-based ecommerce, integrated workflow, EAI, wireless, and portals, and has written articles and white papers on numerous technology topics.

Paul Stevens, Senior Engineer

Paul has over 10 years experience designing and implementing enterprise software primarily used for system optimization. Paul has Bachelor and Masters degrees in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech, and has been focused on creating software to process large amounts of data into meaningful information that can be used to understand and continuously improve system performance. Prior to Cogito, Paul worked at Brooks Automation (previously Autosimulations) developing simulation models for large scale manufacturing and transportation systems. The models were used to understand system dynamics and predict behavior. At Brooks Automation, Paul developed and integrated dispatching, scheduling, and workflow automation software used in the manufacturing process for all top tier 200 and 300 mm semiconductor fabs in the US, Europe, and Asia. Paul also has extensive experience as a system integrator, integrating software as a mission critical component of enterprise software environments, and thus has a background in a wide range of software languages, technologies, and databases.
