Joe Celko joined the ANSI X3H2
Database Standards Committee in 1987 and helped write the ANSI/ISO
SQL-89 and SQL-92 standards. He is one of the top SQL experts in the
world, writing over 700 articles primarily on SQL and database topics in
the computer trade and academic press.
The author of six books on databases and SQL, Joe also
contributes his time as a speaker and instructor at universities, trade
conferences and local user groups.
Curt A. Monash,
President of Monash Information Services, is a 25-year veteran of the
financial community and the information services business. Praised
by Lawrence J. Ellison for his "unmatched insight into technology and
marketplace trends," Curt was the software/services industry's #1 ranked
stock analyst while at PaineWebber, Inc., where he served as a First
Vice President until 1987. He subsequently co-founded Evernet,
Inc., a $40 million networking systems integrator. Since 1990 he has
owned and operated Monash Information Services, an analysis firm
covering software-intensive sectors of the technology industry. In that
period he also has been co-founder, president, or chairman of several
other technology startups.
Curt earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics (Game Theory) from Harvard
University at the age of 19. He has held faculty positions in
mathematics, economics and public policy at Harvard, Yale, and Suffolk
Universities.
